Femelek is an electronic music festival that takes place in Barcelona, Spain produced by women who have the common goal of amplifying the scene for women nationally. It began in 2006 in celebration of International Women's Day at the emlematic Sant Angustí Convent. Without a doubt it is the most important electronic music event that has women as the main protaganists in Barcelona. The event promotes the development and artistic projection of women, no only during the event itself, but also during the entire year with the aim of solidifying the female electronic music scene in Barcelona.
